On the PhD, I am trying to assess the role of facilitation of saltmarshes on mangrove establishment and growth on tropical estuaries. To do that I did a review of the litterature comparing current knowledge on facilitative role of saltmarshes for mangrove worldwide (published at Science of the Total Environment) and performed manipulative experiments to assess facilitative metrics, such as as mangrove seedlings abundance, survival and growth within tropical saltmarshes.
